Friesland Photoshopped

More pages have been given a Photoshop make-over, all about neo-Gothic churces in the province of Friesland.

Friesland updates

The old (ca. 2006) pages about two churches in the city of Leeuwarden have new pictures. First, the page about the Grote of Jacobijnerkerk has had almost all of its pictures replaced by much, much better ones such as the one above this message; sunnier, more colourful and more general views, while the other page, about the Koepelkerk, has a few new 'big' pictures such as the one on the right which is composed out of three diferent photo's.

Friesland again

 


It's back to the province of Friesland with a page about its southernmost municipality Weststellingwerf. Actually its contents are restricted to its major village Wolvega but as I hope to visit that part of the country again next year I chose to already use the name of the municipality. 

That page comes with seperate pages about the two biggest churches in Wolvega, the reformed church and the catholic St. Franciscus. 

In het Nederlands: de sectie Friesland is uitgebreid met een pagina over de gemeente Weststellingerwerf, met echter vooralsnog alleen kerken in Wolvega. 

Friesland update

Two new pages in the Friesland section; a page about the village (actually more of a city) of Heerenveen and one about its biggest church, the catholic Heilige Geestkerk (see picture). Also the page about the architect of this church, H.C.M. van Beers, is improved in several ways. 

Er is een nieuwe tweetalige pagina over Heerenveen.

Another Friesland update

The second update this year in the Friesland section concerns the Leeuwarden page; more than before it's now about the municipality rather than just the city. Much improved and more up to date text. Also several pages about village churches are now connected to the Leeuwarden page, and some of these pages have better text as well.

A Friesland update

The first update (not counting translations) in the Friesland (or Fryslân) section since 2011, with the promise of a bit more to come. As the Súdwest Fryslân municipality was expanded recently this gave me the opportunity to add a few objects not included before. I also updated the text of this page, as well as some of the pages about specific churches in this municipality.
