Two new pages in the Noord-Brabant section, about the churches in the Bernheze and Zundert municipalities respectively. That latter page comes with an updated page about the St. Trudo in Zundert village.
Uiteraard het heuglijke nieuws over nieuwe pagina's ook weer even in het Nederlands: het Noord-Brabant gedeelte is uitgebreid met pagina's over de gemeenten Bernheze en Zundert.
The new page about Altena municipality replaces the older Woudrichem page and comes with six more village churches not on this website before. There's also a small update to the Oss municipality page, with two churches added.
In an attempt to clear my massive backlog, today here are some modest updates to pages about municipalities in the provinces Gelderland and Noord-Brabant. For Gelderland these are Nijmegen, West Maas en Waal and Wijchen, for Noord-Brabant these are Bergeijk and Oirschot. To all pages two or three objects were added.

New pictures have been added to the page about Meierijstad municipality in the Nood-Brabant section.
Also new pictures for some architect's pages, such as C. Franssen, J.H.H. van Groenendael, the Margry family, H.J. van Tulder, A. van Veggel and W. te Riele. Incidentally, the picture you see here shows one of the latter architect's churches in Germany.
The first update of 2024 is a new page about Steenbergen municipality in the province Noord-Brabant. There was a page about the town of Steenbergen long ago, with only two churches, and I must have taken it down in 2011 at the latest. The new page contains almost all churches of some importance in the municipality, one village is still missing, and is of course a vast improvement.
Looking back at 2023, it was a year with a late start with the first update in May, but eventually with 16 updates posted. These included some big improvements of older pages, notably in the Zeeland and Overijssel sections, but there were also 22 new pages, three of which about architects, ten about specific churches and nine about municipalities.
And now, a new year. Plenty of ideas, an ever enormous backlog and not enough time. Keep watching!
En nog even snel in het Nederlands: er is een nieuwe pagina over de gemeente Steenbergen in Noord-Brabant.
It's been a very long time, but finally here are some updates. The first of 2023. There´s a new page in the Noord-Brabant section about Moerdijk municipality and a much updated page about St. Joseph church in Noordhoek.

Some small updates, just to show I have not abandoned this site. It's been a busy year so far and maintaining my website has not been a priority, but it will be again hopefully soon.
The page about the Heusden municipality in Noord-Brabant has been extended with three churches, while the pages about architects H.W. Valk and H.J. van Tulder have had several changes, including a more correct and complete chronology of works, with several pictures added to both.
Today there's a huge update to the page about Meierijstad municipality which had 14 objects added to it as well as a few pictures replaced. In the process the page about P.J.H.Cuypers' St. Lambertus in Veghel had an overhaul as well, with a few recent pictures. Such as the one above.
Some updates before I forget about them. Mostly about 'newish' pages replacing older pages and largely containing the information of these older pages, but not without revisions and the odd picture change.
After the A.J.N. Boosten theme last December I decided to have a good look at the work of another architect, W.A.M. te Riele, the last neo-Gothic architect of the Netherlands and a very productive one too. In the past months several pages about some of his churches were improved already and mentioned as an update, like the
In the last few weeks several pages in the Noord-Brabant section were given some attention especially in the picture department. Take a look at the improved pages about the St. Nicolaas in Helvoirt, the Reformed church of Sprang-Capelle and the St. Gummarus in Steenbergen.
In the meantime I'm working on a bigger update concerning the work of a specific architect, parts of which will be put online as soon as they're ready but which I will anounce here only when everything is done and working.
Happy 2021! I'm sure 2020 was a strange and difficult year for everybody, including myself, but for me it was not without its merits. I only made two trips the whole year to take new pictures, visiting 21 towns and villages in two provinces and photographing 42 churches, 18 of which for the first time. On the plus side: I learned a couple of new Photoshop skills and had plenty of time to put them to good use, resulting in many improved pages, many of which I failed to mention in this blog.
There were only 18 new pages, 15 of which are about specific churches. Archimon had a total of over 20.000 pageviews by some 7700 visitors from 107 countries.
The first updates of 2021 are improved pages about the churches of Waalwijk, Noord-Brabant. Like the St. Jan as seen above, but also the reformed church and the Mariakerk. A nice colourful start of what hopefully will be a better year.
